New Boldmere GC Club Captain

Can we all please wish Mick Andrews the very best as he takes over as Club Captain from 1st April.

We all wish him a smooth and speedy recovery from his recent hip operation and look forward to seeing him back on the course soon.

Dave Hubball retiring from Boldmere

Dave started at Boldmere in 1988 as an apprentice he has worked so hard to give us a lovely course and greens to play on and . His dedication, commitment and work ethic will be sadly missed

Pro-Am 2025

The club boasts the oldest Pro-Am event in Europe, with top professionals joining the competition since 1952. Our 71st was a great success and our 72nd was held on Sunday 10th August, a great day was had by all. Made possible by our main sponsors Skirting Boards Direct, our guest Professionals and also many thanks to GoGoVox for sponsoring hole prizes including a 4 ball at the Brabazon for nearest the pin on the 18th hole.

2026 Club Championship

The annual 36 hole club championship started in 1936 and has run annually since. This years Club Champion is Jack Earl with the trophy, Also our Paul Richards with his shield as the net champion.

Dave Leigh was gross runner up and Mario Leone the net runner up.

David Price won the nearest the pin 1st round and Steve Rees nearest the pin on the 2nd round, winning a 4 ball at Shirley GC.

Supporting Charity

Sutton Cancer Support Centre

Our previous Club Captain Jag Kedra raised a fantastic total of £2,000 for the Sutton Cancer Support Centre. Mick is continuing with this great cause, and a masters charity draw is already underway

Its a great tradition in the club and the previous 2 Captains were proud to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital. From April 22 they raised £5,921 for this charity.

There is a separate senior section, that works closely with the main club. Activities and competitions are held mainly on weekdays. Click to visit their website.

Lowest round of 56

In 2010 R.Bardesley from Moor Hall Golf Club scored a 7 under par, off the white tees. This still stands as the lowest round at Boldmere.

Par for the course

The course measures 4371 yards off the white tees (par 63), 4.083 off the yellow tees (par 62) and 3802 yards off the Ladies Red Tees (par 66). Boldmere is a short yet challenging course with a number of tricky par 3’s. A new winter blue course of 3838 yards has recently been introduced for all golfers.

Boldmere Golf Club was originally established as a 9 hole course in 1936. The additional 9 holes were designed by Carl Bretherton and added in 1972.
