Course Rating minus Par
Up to 31st March 2004, the formula used was Handicap Index x (Slope/113). However, from 1st April 2024 the new calculation for course handicap is your Handicap Index x (Slope/113) + (Course Rating – Par). See calculation site if competition handicap is at a reduced % **
Under the World Handicap System (WHS,) each set of tees on a course can and should be rated for both men and women for handicap purposes, so there’s no requirement for men and women to play off particular tees anymore. With our gender neutral tees, all can choose the available tees that will best suit their game, or the competition.
